Draws and reservation

There are two booking methods for the only sector with limited access, B-F, at 8 rods:

Entry fees for the draw are non-refundable.

Draws

48-hour draw

Details of the daily draw, 48 hours in advance

  • From June 15 to September 30: draws available for daily fishing permits;
  • One (1) entry per draw per person;
  • The entry, costing $3.00 each, must be received no later than 6:00 p.m. the day before the draw;
  • The draw will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the ZEC office;
  • The list of winners can be obtained by calling 418-392-4105;
  • It is the participants’ responsibility to know the list of winners;
  • Winners will have until 9:00 a.m. the day after the draw to confirm and pay for their reservations;
  • A maximum of 1 day/2 fishing rods per winner;
  • Reservations are non-transferable;
  • A person may not appear more than once on the list of winners.

Pre-season draw

Pre-season draw details, November 1st

  • Ten (10) fishing permits per fisherman (maximum);

  • The permits, at a cost of $7 each, must be received between October 1st and 31st at noon;

  • For June and July: a maximum of 2 days/2 rods permits are available, and 50% of the rods are allocated in the preseason draw;

  • For August and September: a maximum of 4 days/2 rods permits are available, and 75% of the rods are allocated in the preseason draw;

  • Reservations are non-transferable;

  • A person may not appear more than once on the winners’ list;

  • The 150 winners will receive an email or letter confirming their ranking and the date they will be contacted.

We will contact the winners to find out their preferred fishing days, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm according to the following schedule:

November 13 AM: 1 to 25
November 13 PM: 26 to 50
November 14 AM: 51 to 75
November 14 PM: 76 to 100
November 15 AM: 101 to 125
November 15 PM: 126 to 150

N.B: If you plan to be absent, let someone else choose your fishing dates, otherwise we will move on to the next person, while waiting for your call back.

For those not selected:
Names drawn from row 151 onwards are reserves. After the calls are completed, a second email will be sent to the reserves to inform them of any remaining availability. In that case, we will continue by contacting the reserves one at a time, always respecting the sequential order determined by the draw, until no more positions are available. The schedule for calling the reserves will be included in this second email.

Important dates to remember

October 31
Deadline for entries to the draw: October 31 at noon

November 1
Pre-season draw of 150 winners.
Each participant will receive email confirmation of their result.

November 13-15
Telephone calls will be made to each winner to select their fishing days.

December 15
Deadline for payment of 30% of the reservation cost following the November 1 pre-season draw (non-refundable).

February 1
Deadline for payment of 70% of the reservation cost following the November 1 pre-season draw.

Booking and cancellation policies

Booking Policy

A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due on February 1st.

* Priority booking for the following season is offered to customers who stay during the current year (30% deposit required upon departure, the balance due on February 1st).

Cancellation Policy

Pre-season booking in a quota area:
Cancellation request in writing one month or more before the fishing date: 70% refund of costs.

Request for cancellation of reservation in writing less than one month before the fishing date: Refund of 70% of costs only if resale of the reservation via the draw 48 hours in advance.

The Zec de la Petite Rivière Cascapédia accepts no responsibility in the event of a major cause (illness, accident, disaster, death of the reservation holder or a close relative, flight delay, or any other conditions beyond its control) preventing a salmon fisherman from fishing on each day included in their package. No refund will be issued in such cases.

The Zec de la Petite Rivière Cascapédia cannot be held responsible for fishing conditions, weather, fish runs, management decisions made by the MFFP (Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks), or any other conditions beyond its control that prevent a salmon angler from catching fish or fishing on each day included in their package. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
